The apple really doesn't fall far from the tree. Leeah's parents K.C. and Kyusun met as art majors studying at the prestigious Hong-Ik University in Seoul, widely considered as the best art program in South Korea. Attending school with full scholarship from a national art award, K.C. majored in drawing and illustration. Outside the art building, she met a young sculptor with torn bell-bottoms, strumming a guitar to American folk tunes. And the rest is...(art) history. After college, K.C. worked as in-house illustrator for top publishing firms in Seoul. Kyusun enjoyed many years as a successful set designer for TV and theater and taught pioneering courses in this discipline. But his passion and expertise lies with the human form and has continued to create numerous commissioned artworks.
